Looking up at the night sky,
watching heaven pass me by,
I stop and think and dream of you,
In a vain hope they might come true.
The star light shines upon my face,
Perhaps a sign
of God's amazing grace,
A sing that no matter,
how dark things seem
Light will always be with me,
even if only a thin star lit beam.
With this thought,
my hopes are renewed,
but still I wonder about you,
What possible hope,
or chance have I?
More likely it is,
that I could touch the sky.
But out of human stupidity,
what little optimism that is left in me.
I can't forget your incredible stare,
Or stop my wishing that you were here.
