~My P.O.V.~ First day of Christmas Vacation
"Merry Christmas Baby, sure did treat me nice..." I woke up to mine and Taylor's radio blasted to "Merry Christmas Baby" though I didn't mind. It was also quite funny watching Taylor dance around half naked in the closet while getting his outfit for the day.
"Oh cute honey." I said as I sat up in bed. He kinda jumped and turned around. I must have startled him.
"Don't do that to me!" He said as he made his way over to the bed. "Good morning." he said and softly kissed my cheek.
"Morning."
"Are you getting up now?" He asked as he made his way back to the closet.
"I'm not sure yet. What time is it?" I asked.
"A little after eleven." He said looking at his beat up yellow and black watch. Maybe that's what I'll get him for Christamas--a new watch.
"ELEVEN!!? Geez, honey, why didn't you wake me up earlier?" I asked getting out of bed.
"Well I figured that since today was the first day of Christmas vacation that I'd let you sleep in."
"Oh." I said quietly. "Are you sure today's the first day of vacation?" I asked thinking quite hard. I didn't actually think today was--
"December 22, 1999. Marked right here on your Hanson calendar." He said pointing to the picture of him and his brothers.
"Wow I didn't think it was that late already."
"I know." Taylor said as he took me around my waist and kissed me.
"So, what are we doing today?" Zac asked loudly as he flew through our door.
"Zac! Don't you ever knock? You know they probably want just as much privacy as you and me." Care said following Zac into our room.
"That's okay." I said. "But honey, what ARE we doing today?"
"Well," Tay started as he followed me over to my dresser. "Mom and Dad want me to stop looking for my Christmas present and decide on a car. Then we're free."
"Okay, let's see...I think that us girls should all go shopping. Last minute stuff you know. Then we should all go out to eat and catch a movie." I said as I picked up my clothes and made my way to the bathroom. "We can talk more after I get out of the shower." They all said "fine" and about an hour later Bethany, Care, Ike, Tay, Zac, and I all piled into my Sunbird and Mom, Dad, Jess, Avie, Mac, and Zoe followed in the van. We stopped at a Chevy dealership. Taylor was stuck between a 99 Blazer, 99 Grand Am, 99 Ford Mustang and a 98 Jeep. After looking awhile we were stuck between the black Blazer and the Silver Grand Am.
"So what do you think?" I asked as I sat in the Blazer with Taylor.
"Well it's very nice, has lots of room." He blushed. "But the Grand Am has some major power."
"Have you test drove the Blazer yet?" I asked.
"No"
"Well let me tell you Blazers have some major power too. Go ask dad to take it out for a spin." I said and he walked out of the door. Less than five minutes we were out on the road.
"Wow, I think I really like this truck." Taylor said as he almost instantly got it up to 70mph on the freeway.
"See I told you." I said as I played with the CD/radio.
"You really like this truck, huh?"
"Yeah, for you. But I'D get the Grand Am." I said. "So which one are you getting?"
"This one." Taylor decided as we pulled back into the lot.
"Which one will it be?" Dad asked.
"This one." I excitedly yelled over the radio. And 20 minutes later Beth, Care, Jessi, Avie, and I got into my Sunbird and headed to the mall to shop for the boys' and Mom and Dad's presents.
After about 3 1/2--4 hours in the mall we had all of our presents. Care got Zac a new ledo set, a new pair of jeans, the new Alanis CD, and a silver ID braceleat with "Zachary" and on the underside it said, "I'll love you till the end of forever and a day.--Care" And she got Mom 3 new candles and two more lion figurines. (She collects them) and Dad--he's WAY too hard to shop for so we all pitched in for a $150 gift certificate to Best Buy.
I bought Taylor a new pair of Doc Martins, a new hoop earing to match mine for our cartilage piercings. And finally I picked up his class ring ahich I had been saving up for for about a year. I also, with pitching in for the gift certificate, bought Dad a package of 10 blank video tapes--We all know how much hw loves video taping the boys :) And I got Mom the new Jewel CD and a big lion candle.
Beth got Isaac two new pairs of pants--one jeans, other leather. A new pair of Oakly sunglasses, and all the Aerosmith CD's Ike didn't have. She also chipped in for Dad's certificate. And got mom a huge lion picture in a gorgeous oak frame. Wow we spent a lot of money. And that's not even inclluding the presents for the younger kids and each other AND the other guys. We then went home to get ready to go out with the guys.
"Hey!! What'd you get?" Zac yelled from the living room when he heard us walk ing.
"We'll show you later. We have stuff for you in here too." Care said as we all ran upstairs. We heard the guys following us so we ran faster, got into my room and locked the door and the bathroom door.
"They are so crazy!" I laughed.
"Oh, come on guys this isn't fair!" Zac whined outside of my door.
"No, this is perfectly fair. You can wait another three days." Beth said.
"Now, we have to get ready for our movie and dinner date" Care said. "So could you go away please so Beth and I don't get mauled on the way to our rooms?"
"Yeah, I suppose we can do that. We're ready to go." I heard Taylor say as he walked downstairs.
"I'll be in the Rec-room." Zac said.
"Me too." Ike said.
"Well good." I said as I hid the presents in the closet and grabbed a new outfit for tonight. Then I realized--Where were we going? So I went to the Rec-room. "Hey, Isaac, Zac, where are we going out to eat?"
"Rex's Chicken." They both said without looking up from the racing game they were playing on the Sony Playstation.
"Thanks." I said and I went back to my room. I decided on my Maurice's jeans, white baby tee, and Tay's leather jacket. I redid my hair and make-up and went downstairs to find Taylor.
"Hey, that's a cute outfit Amy Lee." Mom said. "Isn't that Tay's jacket?"
"Yeah it is." Taylor said as he walked up behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist. "But I suppose you can wear it, it's getting pretty chilly out."
"Thanks." I said as I turned around and kissed him softly. "Where is everyone?"
"They're still getting ready I think." Taylor said.
"I'll go get them." I said as I broke away from Taylor and went upstairs. I knocked on Care's door. I heard her yell a "yeah" so I walked in. "Are you almost ready?" I asked. She was at her vanity.
"Yeah, just adding the final touches." Care was in a very cute outfit. She was wearing her stonewashed jeans, her white t-shirts and one of Zac's sweaters. The red one with the red stripes.
"Ok, come downstairs when you're ready. I'm going to get Beth." I said as I walked out. I heard a quiet "ok". I then went and knocked on Beth's door.
"Come in!"
"Are you almost ready?" We wanted to head out to Rex's Chicken pretty soon." I said as I sat down on her bed.
"Yeah, but could you hellp me with something?" She then came out of her closet holding two shirts. "The blue one or the red one?"
"Red." I said quickly. Beth always looked good in red. She then quickly pulled the long-sleeved, red, baby tee over her head.
"Ok, let's go." She said and we were out the door and running downstairs behind Care.
"Wait!!" I yelled once we got to the bottom of the stairs. Beth and Care were looking at me quite confused. "We have to get Ike and Zac."
"No, we're way ahead of you." Zac said while putting on his yellow Doc Martins.
"Ok then let's go. Who's driving?" I asked while putting on my boots.
"I am." Taylor said while grabbing the keys to his new Blazer.
"We should've known." Beth laughed. Our seating was me and Tay in front, Beth and Ike in the middle and Zac and Care in the very back.
As Tay started to reverse out of the driveway he stopped suddenly. "Zac, Care, I can't see through your heads! Lay down or something."
~Zac's P.O.V.~
After Tay told Care and I to lay down Care gave me a look of mischief and laid down while pulling me to her. Softly but urgently. I raised my eyebrow and laughed but went down and kissed her back.
