

The beauty of Bucks County is all the great parks and trails it has to offer. There are tons of trails/parks to explore while in Bucks County, but to help you begin your exploration we've narrowed the search down to five of the most popular in the area!
TYLER STATE PARK

Tyler State Park is great park for EVERYONE, old or young. It offers over 4 miles of paved trails that weave alongside the Neshaminy Creek. Not only is there beautiful trails to hike here, but also over 10 miles of bike trails(bike optional)
As well as 9 miles of horse trails (horse needed)

Along with scenic trails to hike Tyler State Park offers many picnic areas for families as well as playgrounds close by. Fishing is accepted in the park, and hikers can even rent canoes to take down the Neshaminy Creek right at Tyler State Park! Its one heck of a cool place to start!

CORE CREEK PARK

Core Creek Park is 1200 acres of land surrounding a beautiful lake. Most of the trails in this park are paved making it easy for any level of hiking experience. Along with paved trails, there are many horse trails for those looking to take their horses out for a ride.
Again, as in Tyler State Park, there is an area for Park goers to rent canoes and other small boats
to take out on Core Creek's large lake. If you have a fear of water though, you can always enjoy the beauty of the lake from its easily accessible shore line!

FIVE MILE WOODS

Five Mile Woods is more of a nature preserve then a Park. Here you won't find stands to rent out boats, or playgrounds, or really anything other then beautiful and quiet forest. If you're looking for some tranquility in Bucks this could be the place.(although some areas of the preserve tend to be a bit close to the main road)Five Mile Woods is a preserve due to its environmental uniqueness.Straddling the "fall line" (the geological divide between the Coastal Plain and the Piedmont Plateau regions), the plant community of the Woods represents a unique blend of the two divergent ecosystems. It is due to this uniqueness that ONLY HIKING is aloud in Five Mile Woods.

RINGING ROCKS PARK

In order to reach Ringing Rocks Park,fellow hikers, you will need some means of transportation, especially when traveling from the Central Bucks area. But the travel is well worth the trip. Ringing Rocks is a unique park for many reasons, its name giving away its most unique feature, RINGING ROCKS! Make sure to bring a hammer
when you travel here to hit the rocks and create your own musical number with nature! Besides the ringing rocks, there are a few beautiful water falls here to explore as well as many well marked trails for any level of hiker.

NOCKAMIXON STATE PARK

Nockamixon is your one stop spot when it comes to parks and hiking. Anything outdoors that you can think of they offer! There's fishing, boating,swimming pools, hiking, biking, horse back riding, hunting, sledding, disc golf, even wind surfing! There's something for every outdoor enthusiast at Nockamixon State Park. The trails are mostly paved following the length of the lake on both sides, making it a very family friendly environment.
