A Supercell Thunderstorm
On April 14, 1999, a supercell thunderstorm developed down in the Illawarra south of the New South Wales (NSW) capital city of Sydney, Australia. As the storm moved North through the densely populated eastern part of the city, lightning, high winds, heavy rain, and large hailstones were observed. And over $1billion damage around the City's Eastern suburbs.
