Band Bio
The band started out with Clint, Ben, and Dennis Taileur(former guitar player) as a local garage band know as the Dead Pupet Society. These three mainly stuck to playing in front of friends in Clints garage and basement. Sometime in late '99 or early 2000 the band picked up a bassist, Mike Marrier. This line up lasted only a few months until Mike decided to leave the band to which there was no resistance from the other members. Around mid March 2000 the band picked up there second bassist, Kevin Buck, and changed the name to The Young Offenders. Buck's career was very short lived. Just before spring break Clint and Dennis met up with Kyle Anderson and a school manditory dance festival and after Ben delivered a career ending injury to Kevin by jumping on him from a ladder, Clint made a phone call to Kyle that would start the band on there way.

The Young Offenders now had a bassist and began to practice up for there first show. After writing a few new songs and a name change to The Straight A's the band played there first show at Music Mayhem in Morinville. This performance was met with very little enthusiasim by the crowd but the members were not phased. The very next day after a quick jam practice The Straight A's went to play a show in front of a home town crowd in Bon Accord with bands Outwash and Blind Date. The local crowd loved there home town heros with Ben ladder jumping, crowd surfing antics and the other members obvious talent. The band left with renewed confidence in there abilities and went out in search of a bigger audience. But after constant let downs by promoter Don Joyce the 4 young boys thought they would never get there break. The band tryed to bring out a new style for themselves but there was much bickering in the band which ranged from minor, short lived arguments to throwing chairs, cruches and instruments. Ben tried to keep the band together but his efforts were in vain and in mid-July 2000 Clint decided he had enough and left the band. The other 3 members contiuned to practice to gether and they slowly changed to style to a Anti-Flag/Misfits influenced sound. After a short relationship with drummer Chad Charette the band finally rejoined with Clint and changed there name to 10 Day Trip. The band quickly dropped all but 2 of there old songs and got ready for the next show, A halloween extravaganza in Bon Accord. This show went amazingly well. With a couple of other Bon Accord bands opening and the Franklins play just before, 10 Day Trip took the stage and wowed the audience. A large cloud of smoke filled the stage as Ben ran out in a Gwarish costume and the band showed Bon Accord what music was all about(Ben was pretty messed up on cough syrup with codine). Followed by Phork and Death by Dawn it was the greatest show yet. A couple of months later Guitarist Dennis Taileur developed a major drug problem and after a whole weekend of fighting with the other members(it all started over a lighter) Dennis walked out on 10 Day Trip and the others just continued on.

After a couple of months searching for a new six string slinger and a name change to The Trasylvanians the 3 remaining members found David Engin and began there trip into the world of horror rock. The Transylvanians played there first show together in Bon Accord(there must be something about that town). It was less than successful but the boys remain hopeful and continue to practice and have set up shows for early August so check them out if you have the chance.
