Pots amd seedlings are now up to planting level pending the good weather remaining this April,day by day our gardens grow,did you notice and hear the fledgeling sparrow prepare her families nest,and the lovely squirrels nutty treats they will look for and store,and carefull where you stand when you hoe the soil. I now wear my Garden Boots,as near woodwork and tables and desks being varnished for the new coachouse,I was speaking to AMK builders and are putting up slates,have wooden windows and glass doors completed,2 levels and tall slanted roof and also original stonework cleaned and cemented in place with original overhangs may suit some hanging gardens and window boxes made us all and desgned by Liegh. The bees go to sleep in the winter, tuck themselves into their little combs.

They worked hard all summer and spring and gathered lots of honey.

Now they fill their bodies with lots of tasty honey and go to sleep.

Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!

They all start to dream.

Some have good dreams:

They dream about lots of flowers full of honey and pollen;

lots of nice weather;

nice places to swarm.

Then after a successful season, maybe dying a heroic death

for their queen and hive

(bees are very partriotic)

and be remembered for their famous sting.

But at other times bees have nightmares….

One hears them humming and tossing and turning in their hive.

Buzz! Buzz! Buzz!

Dreams about savage birds eating them

or just chasing after them.

Huge monstrous bears coming to steal their honey

or even more monstrous people!

Grrrroll!!

Their dreams get confusing sometimes:

Finding flowers that don't have any honey in them

when they usually do.

Or dreams about the Queen bee doing something

out of the ordinary such as flying off for no reason;

abandoning the hive when she is most needed.

Those dreams make them wake up with a start.

Or more threatening dreams where the drones

realise their full strength and over-running

the hive and eating all the food.

The workers can't chuck them out.

Bees have many such symbolic dreams

which make them get up bright and early

in the season and get to work.
