11-3-00 - Detour Heads to the Studio to Put Finishing Touches on Debut Album -


With Lake Lawn Live under thier belts, the natural next step for Detour is to release the album. There is a live tape recording of the Lake Lawn Halloween concert. It will be converted to CD, and the marketing prototype should be finished by Monday. It was decided between bassist Nick K., self-proclaimed manger Tom K., audio / visual correspondent Jim D., and Katie W., a representative from Wruk Studios INC., that the four would meet on Sunday to convert and polish up the sound quality of the album. This includes lowering crowd noise and raising bass and vocals. If all goes according to plan the CDs could be on-sale by next week.




11-1-00 - Second Concert Will Take Place -


After the Lake Lawn concert was over, rumors already began to surface about Detour's second appearence. There has been talk of Detour entering in the Battle of the Bands, but the next concert has already been acknowledged. The still unknow date of Tom Kallai Day will host the second appearence of Detour in concert. Guitarist Jeff T. has stated " Yeah, after this we'll probably finish our two originals and start on some new stuff before Tom Kallai Day 2000." (Live at Lake Lawn Pre-Show) This statement, although unofficial, has planted a seed of anxiety in fans across the county. What will the new songs be like? What lyrics will make the cut for Death Metal and Happy Go Lucky. It has ben rumored that drummer Ryan C. has fisnishd lyrics for Happy Go Lucky. The band has already passed on lyrics supplied by Nick K. and Brian P. There are working lyrics for Death Metal, but they have not been officially approved.
