Cant Have You
Chapter Twenty-Three
Nick and Mel:
When I woke up, it was 5:30 and I hurriedly woke Nick up. We had half an hour to wash up and drive to the pizza parlour to meet up with the others. "Nick...wake up..it's 5:30"
"Just a few more minutes," he said and turned onto his side. I decided to let him sleep for a couple of more minutes. I went to wash up and change. Then I went back downstairs and cleaned up. By the time I was finished it was 5:45. "Nick, get up or we're gonna be late"
"I'm up. Where are we going?"
"To meet with the others. We're going out for dinner remember?"
"Oh yeah. Let me wash up first"
He headed for the bathroom and I put the stuff away. When he came back out five minutes later he looked refreshed and all set to go. "Ready?"
"Ready as ever." he took my hand and together we walked out to my car. I got in the driver seat and we drove to Theo's Pizza. When we got there, we sat down at a booth and waited for the others to arrive.
Tina:
"What time is it Brian?"
"Almost 6"
"What?! How come you didnt tell me? We gotta meet up with Nick and Mel at 6 remember?"
"Oh...I forgot. Im sorry baby," he said wrapping his arms around her.
"It's ok. C'mon let's go find the others." They left the store, hand in hand, and went to the fountain to wait for the others. When they got there, Jenni and AJ let out a sigh of relief. "We were beginning to wonder where you two were. We've been waiting for half an hour."
"Why didnt you call us?"
"We did!"
"Well...what happened?"
"You didnt answer!"
"The phone never rang."
"Well maybe it would've if you had let it on..."
"Oops.." Tina said blushing.
"Nevermind that. Let's go." They all left the building and and got into their cars. Following Tina's lead they got to Theo's at 6:15 They settled down next to Nick and Mel and began to settle on what they wanted to eat.
"So how was your shopping trip?" Mel asked.
"It was ok. It was actually fun."
"What did you and Nick do?"
"We just hung out and stuff. We had fun also." They talked for a couple more minutes before their food arrived. Then they all ate, less talking was going around. After that they all headed up and watched more movies for the rest of that night.
