The Donkey sanctuary is one that is close to my heart. I have an adopted Donkey called Tapestry. She is a skewbald mare who was born in 1990. The sanctuary bought her from two ladies that had found her in a market in York, UK. She was badly in need of treatment when she arrived at the sanctuary, but now Tapestry is in perfect health. During the week commencing 23rd September 2001, we took a trip down to Devon and visited Tapestry and her fellow sanctuary dwellers. They are such beautiful, gentle friendly creatures. Soon, on this site, there will be some photographs that were taken at the time!
