"Trina, would you calm down." Megan demanded, a hint of annoyance in her voice.
Calm down? CALM DOWN? SHE expects ME to calm down?
"Look Megan, I haven't been on a date in awhile, if you've forgotten, I'm a little nervous." I admitted.
"It's just a date there is nothing to be nervous about."
"Oh come on."
"I'm serious."
"Whatever you say. How do I look?" I asked, modeling my outfit for Megan.
"That shirt does not go with those pants. Here where this." Megan said handing me a blue halter top to go with my black leather pants. We were standing in my bedroom in front of my closet, debating on what I should wear. I found this situation funny, considering I have a HUGE closet. I settled on the shirt Megan handed me with the pants I already had on.
"Okay, time to do your hair." Megan said pulling me into my bathroom.
"What's wrong with the way it is now?"
"We have to straighten it."
Excuse me? "Why? I like the curls.
"Well hun," Megan said, "In this heat it'll get all frizzy."
"Hey, at least I don't have 'Keri Russel hair'." I hate how Megan always complains about my hair. It NEVER gets frizzy.
"HEY, don't dis Keri Russel, she's a star!" Megan defended.
"So?"
"Just don't."
"Your not touching my hair. I like it the way it is." I stood my ground.
"Fine, let me do your make-up then."
"Just not to much. I don't want to look like a barbie doll." I complained.
I sat silently thinking about the date I was going out on tonight with Nick. He called me last night and asked. Of course I accepted. How could I turn him down?
"Hey Trina, do you want to uh...go...outtomorrownight?" Nick asked in a rush.
"Um, Sure what time?"
"Around Seven."
"Okay, I have to go now. I have a huge test to study for. Sorry."
"It's alright." See you tomorrow."
"Alright, bye." I hung up the phone, beaming with delight."
"Hello, earth to Trina." Megan's voice intruded my thoughts.
"What? Huh?"
"I'm finished." She replied in a sing-song voice, obviosly happy with her work. I looked in the mirror to check it out. She really did do a good job. She put a little blue eyes shadow on to accent my blu green eyes, and a brownish lipstick.
"Wow, Megs good job."
"Thanks, now you stay here and when he comes I'll answer the door so you can make a grand entrace." Megan babbled in delight.
I laughed at here ansyness. Grand opening? What is she on? "What time is it?" I asked curiously.
"6:50, relax."
"I am."
As soon as those 2 words left my mouth the doorbell rang.
Oh, I'll get it." Megan said, already halfway down the stairs. "Treen, he's hee-rre."
A guy that's early- shocking. Oh wait. I'm confused. The girls are always the late ones. I thought to myself, Consentrating on walking downstairs, trying desperatly not to fall and break my neck in these shoes Megan insisted I wear.
I walked to the door where Nick handed me a rose.
"Aw, thank you." I said looking into his incredible blue eyes. I could get used to this.
"No problem. Ready to go." He asked eagerly.
"Yup. Bye Meg." I said waving. "So where are we going?"
"I can't tell you." Nick said with a sly grin.
"As, come on. Please?" I begged.
Nick just shook his head in reply.
