Safer - Jet Planes by mike 10/11/01
How the New York, US World Trade Center buildings, and the Washington DC, US Pentagon could have been saved, and how hijackings could be made more preventable.
It was a tragic event for America, when terrorists hijacked jet planes, and crashed into the World Trade Center and Pentagon, on September 11, 2001. The jet planes crash damaged the buildings of the Trade Centers, but the amount of fuel, burning from the jumbo jets, in the crash, reached over 5000 degrees; enough to melt steel girders, making them collapse. The damage of the Pentagon, requires seven times the amount, that it costs to build a new one.
Planes now have a metal bar, that goes across the entrance, to the pilots cockpit. Pilots can still communicate with the crew and passengers, but no one, can enter the pilot area, throughout the flight. The pilots have their own snacks, drinks, and meals, inside the pilot area.
This greatly lessens the amount of hijacking of planes, in flight.
Now, more passengers are able to, and willing to fly, and there less chance of a tragic event. It guarantees a safer flight, for everyone, on board.
The pilot cockpit, is near the entrance area of the jet plane.
The planes could be made safer, if the boarding area was near the center, or end section of the plane.
Smaller type jet planes, could be used in the future in America, so that it would prevent a total disaster to any sky scraper, big building, or a nuclear plant, if they ever got hit. It would also, be just as easy to fly to any destination, this way, and would be almost as fast. Fewer big jet planes would then be needed, that require greater security checks.
