Text Effects Using
Blade Pro
Outlined - Candy - 3D

Download
and unzip, Open Explorer and go to the file you unzipped to and cut the
fonts, the files that end with .ttf and paste them to your
Windows>Fonts folder, then unzip the three zip files to your
PSP>Plugins>Bladepro>envirnments and textures folder.
Open PSP
3D Text
Go to FILE>NEW and use these settings...
Width: 400
Height: 200
Transparent Background
Click ok. Now click on the foreground color (top box) and select white.
Click
the text tool
then click in the center of the pic now select a font I'm using
Benguiat Bk Bt, Bold, size 48, make sure to check Floating. Go to
SELECTIONS>MODIFY>EXPAND by 3 pixels. Now go to IMAGE>PLUGIN
FILTERS>FLAMING PEAR>BLADEPRO, when the bladepro box comes up
click the button that looks like a CD with an arrow pointing to the
right like this...
now click on the file
gold3d.q9q like this...

and click Open and click Ok on
the next box. Now go to COLORS>ADJUST>GAMMA CORRECTION now set the
first box to 0.76 and all the others should set theirselves to the same.
Now let's add a drop shadow by going to IMAGE>EFFECTS>DROP SHADOW
and I used these settings..
Color: Black
Opacity: 95
Blur: 5.5
Set both Offsets to 0 and click
Ok. Now deselect by either holding down the Ctrl button on your keyboard
and hitting the D or by going to SELECTIONS>SELECT NONE. Now you can
cut and paste to a new image and save and it looks like this...

Candy Text
Go to FILE>NEW and use these settings...
Width: 400
Height: 200
Transparent Background
Click ok. Now click on the foreground color (top box) and select light
blue. Click on the background color (bottom box) and select dark blue.
Click the text tool then click
in the center of the pic now select a font I'm using Bremen Bd BT, bold,
size 40, make sure Floating is checked. Now click the flood fill tool
set your
control palette like this...
Fill Style: Linear Gradient
Match Mode: None
Tolerance: 0
Opacity: 100
Click Options, make sure your
Blend Mode is set to Normal and the Degrees is 0 click ok. Now click
inside your text to fill it. Now go to IMAGE>PLUGIN
FILTERS>FLAMING PEAR>BLADEPRO, when the bladepro box comes up
click the button that looks like a CD with an arrow pointing to the
right and when the box comes up click on the file soeclear.q9q and click
Open and click Ok on the next box. Now let's add a drop shadow by going
to IMAGE>EFFECTS>DROP SHADOW and I used these settings..
Color: Black
Opacity: 88
Blur: 10
Set both Offsets to 5 and click
Ok. Now deselect and you can cut and paste to a new image and save and
it looks like this...

Here's one I did with a rainbow effect...

Outlined Text
Go to FILE>NEW and use
these settings...
Width: 400
Height: 200
Transparent Background
Click ok. Now click on the
foreground color (top box) and select any color you want to use I
selected lt. blue.
Click the text tool then click
in the center of the pic now select a font I'm using Caligula, bold
italic, size 48, check Antialias and make sure Floating is checked and
click ok. Go to SELECTIONS>SAVE TO ALPHA CHANNEL when the first box
comes up just click ok, when the next box comes up give it the
name...inside color and click ok. Go to SELECTIONS>MODIFY>EXPAND
by 3 pixels. Go to SELECTIONS>SAVE TO ALPHA CHANNEL when the first
box comes up just click ok, when the next box comes up give it the name...outline
and click ok. Now change your foreground color to a shade darker so I
picked dark blue. Click the flood fill tool and set your control palette
like this...
Fill Style: Solid color
Match Mode: None
Tolerance: 0
Opacity: 100
Now click inside your text to
flood fill. Go to SELECTIONS>LOAD FROM ALPHA CHANNEL and click on
inside color and click ok. Now change your foreground color back to your
first color mine was the lt. blue and flood fill that. Go to
SELECTIONS>LOAD FROM ALPHA CHANNEL and click on outline and click ok.
Now go to IMAGE>PLUGIN FILTERS>FLAMING PEAR>BLADEPRO, when the
bladepro box comes up click the button that looks like a CD with an
arrow pointing to the right and when the box comes up click on the file
bevel_flat.q9q and click Open and click Ok on the next box. Go to
IMAGE>EFFECTS>DROP SHADOW and I used these settings..
Color: Black
Opacity: 88
Blur: 10
Set both Offsets to 5 and click
Ok. Now deselect and you can cut and paste to a new image and save and
it looks like this...
