Text Effects - Gold Text 2

The DOWNLOAD file contains the following file...

Chancery.ttf

Just download to any file and unzip to your Windows>Fonts folder.

This is a lot like the silver. Go to FILE>NEW and use these settings...

Width: 400

Height: 200

Background color: White

Click ok. Click on your foreground color (top box) and set it like this...

Red: 220

Green: 200

Blue: 20

Now click on the background color (bottom box) and set it like this...

Red: 255

Green: 255

Blue: 0

Click the text tool and click on the center of the pic now let's pick a font. I'm using Black Chancery, Bold, Size 48, make sure Floating is checked and click ok. With it still selected go to SELECTIONS>MODIFY>FEATHER and feather by 3 pixels. You can change this setting depending on the size of your text. If you use a bigger text you can feather more, a smaller text you would feather less. Now go to IMAGE>EFFECTS>CUTOUT and use these settings...

Make sure Fill interior with color IS checked

Interior color: Foreground color

Shadow Color: Background Color

Opacity: 100

Blur: 0

Vertical: 4

Horizontal: 4

Click ok. Now click the foreground color (top box) and set it to white. Go to IMAGE>OTHER>HOT WAX COATING. Now go to IMAGE>SHARPEN>SHARPEN. Now I'm going to add a drop shadow (optional) by going to IMAGE>EFFECTS>DROP SHADOW and I used these settings...

Color: Black

Opacity: 100

Blur: 8.1

Vertical: 1

Horizontal: 1

Now mine looks like this...
