Text Effects - Hot Wax Text

 

Open a new file

Width: 400

Height: 200

Background color: White

Set the foreground color to a dark color. I picked dark purple. Click the text too and pick a thick font. I'm using the same on with the same settings. Make sure to check Antialias & Floating. Go to SELECTIONS>SELECT NONE. GO to IMAGE>OTHER>ERODE, 3 times. Go to IMAGE>BLUR>GAUSSIAN BLUR use these settings...

Radius: 3.0

Click ok

Set the foreground color to a much lighter tone of your original

foreground color. I picked light purple. Click the text

tool to enter the same text you did previously, positioning the new text selection on top of the blurred text. Move it around to center it if you have to. Click the magic wand and click on the white part. Go to SELECTIONS>INVERT. Go to SELECTIONS>MODIFY>FEATHER by 2 pixels. Then go to IMAGE>OTHER>HOT WAX COATING. Crop and buttonize and it looks like this...
