Text Effects - Mercury

Open PSP
Open a new file
Width: 400
Height: 200
Background color: White
Set your foreground color to white. Click the text
tool and pick
a rounded font. I picked Background Font 2, Bold, size 36. Make sure to
check Antialias & Floating. Go to SELECTIONS>MODIFY>FEATHER by
5 pixels.
Make your foreground color light blue by using
these settings...
Hue: 120, Sat: 240, Lum: 180.
Now make your background color brown by using these
settings...
Hue: 20, Sat: 240, Lum: 60.
Go to IMAGE>EFFECTS>CUTOUT use these
settings...
Shadow Color: Foreground
Opacity: 100
Blur: 5
Vertical: 1
Horizontal: 1
Do it again go to IMAGE>EFFECTS>CUTOUT use
these settings...
Shadow Color: Background
Opacity: 100
Blur: 5
Vertical: -1
Horizontal: -1
Set both the foreground and the background to white.
Go to IMAGE>OTHER>HOT WAX COATING. Go to
IMAGE>SHARPEN>SHARPEN MORE, 2 times. Go to
IMAGE>EFFECTS>DROP SHADOW and use these settings...
Color: BLACK
Opacity: 50
Blur: 5
Vertical: 3
Horizontal: 3
Then crop and buttonize and it looks like this...
