Text effects - Flaming Text

The DOWNLOAD file contains the following file...

eld.pal

.

Download, unzip into your PSP's Palettes file.

Open PSP...

Go to FILE>NEW

Width: 300

Height: 100

Background color: White

Click ok. Pick black as your foreground color and place your text. I picked Futura MdCn Bt font, Bold, size 36. Now select none. Now go to IMAGE>OTHER>ERODE I did that 2 times.

Click the retouch tool and use the following settings.

Tool Controls...

Retouch mode: Smudge

Paper Texture: none

Brush Tip...

Shape: Round

Size: 5

Opacity: 70

Hardness: 0

Density: 100

Step: 25

Now draw flames. Here's what mine looks like now...

Just play with it until it looks like you want it to. Pick white as your foreground color and place your text centered over the black text. Like this...

Now Select none. Go to COLORS>GRAY SCALE. Go to COLORS>LOAD PALETTE if a box comes up click ok. Now in the load palette box pick the eld.pal file and click Open. Now it looks like this...
