Go to FILE>NEW with the following settings...
Width: 250
Height: 100
Background Color: White
Click ok. Click the background color box and pick
white. Click the foreground color box and pick a color for your font. I
picked light blue. Click your text tool and pick a font. I picked Futura
XBlk BT font, Bold, size 28. Click ok. Go to SELECTIONS>SELECT NONE.
Click the top box and pick white. Go to IMAGE>OTHER>HOT WAX
COATING. Now it looks like this...
Ok, that worked but what if you want your outline
to be a color other than black. I want mine to be a dark blue. So this
is how we do it.
Go to FILE>NEW with the following settings...
Width: 250
Height: 100
Background Color: White
Click ok. Click the background color box and pick
white. Click the foreground color box and pick a color for your font. I
picked a dark blue. Click your text tool and pick a font. I picked
Futura XBlk BT font, Bold, size 28. Click ok. Save the selection by
going to SELECTIONS>SAVE TO DISK, type in a name and where it says
SAVE AS TYPE make sure beside it says PSP Selection (*.Sel) click Save.
Go to SELECTIONS>MODIFY>FEATHER by 8 pixels
Click ok. Click the flood fill tool and flood
inside the dotted line. I did mine 6 times. Go to SELECTIONS>LOAD
FROM DISK and pick the one you just saved, click open. Click the flood
fill tool. Click the foreground color box and pick a darker color. I
picked light blue. Now flood fill each letter. Now it looks like this...
If you want a sharper edge. Before you Load from
disk. Go to IMAGE>SHARPEN>SHARPEN MORE. Now load and do all the
rest and it looks like this...
