Text effects - Quick
and Dirty 3D Text
Go to FILE>NEW with the following settings...
Width: 250
Height: 100
Background Color: White
Click ok. Click the foreground color box and pick a
light color. I picked light blue. Click the background color box and
pick white. Click your text tool and pick a font. I picked Aristocrat
font, Bold, size 26. Click ok. Save the selection by going to
SELECTIONS>SAVE TO DISK, type in a name and where it says SAVE AS
TYPE make sure beside it says PSP Selection (*.Sel) click Save. Go to
SELECTIONS>SELECT NONE. Click the arrow beside your color boxes to
switch the colors. Go to IMAGE>OTHER>HOT WAX COATING. Go to
SELECTIONS>LOAD FROM DISK and pick the one you just saved, click
open. Go to IMAGE>EFFECTS>DROP SHADOW. I used the following
settings...
Color: Black
Opacity: 255
Blur: 10.6
Vertical: 4
Horizontal: 4
Click ok. Now it looks like this...
