In Memoriam

While the rest of the world was celebrating the dawn of New Year's Day, Columbia SC's Indian community was in deep sorrow for losing it's beloved fellow Indian.

Uday Yerragolla resident of Columbia, SC passed away on New Year's Day leaving all of us in deep sorrow. He was 30. His wife Prasoona whom he married a couple of years back, and father, mother and a brother survive him.

Uday Yerragolla hailed from Sangareddy, Hyderabad and was working for Blue Cross Blue Shield of SC as a contractor for the last 3 years. He was on H1 visa and was working on  an hourly basis. He did not leave any insurance benefits to the next to kin.

Friends known to him recognize him as very jovial and friendly.

He died on Jan 1, 2006 at about 5 AM due to a severe heart failure.

The Indian community of South Carolina is preparing to send the body to India at the earliest. Other than his distraught wife, he has no relatives in the US.

Please come forward and generously donate what you can to help meet the expenditure and to support his young wife.

We humbly request you to write checks in favor of "HTCC, Columbia" mentioning "FOR UDAY” in the memo area and mail checks to the following address. (For those who are new: HTCC - Hindu Temple and Cultural Council of SC)
