Milestones

I had to treat each step along the way as a milestone. Here are some of biggies...

My neighbors had a variety of guesses as to what I was building. The guesses ranged from canoe to dragster. In reality, the fuselage has just come out of its jig. It took me about 6 months of work on the fuselage to get to this point.

Months later, the landing gear, turtledeck (fuselage top), and empennage are mounted. Being able to roll the project around for easy access is nice! By this time, the canopy had also been completed and stored. That was a big job!

Hey, what's that?? A painted fuselage with engine attached... Many more months of work to get here.

And here sits N46KB. It is March 1, 2001 and the airplane is ready to go. All that is left is to fly it...

One more pre-flight picture....

I you want to see if it flys, go here.
