Once there was a monkey named George. He was walking through the jungle one day when a yellow turtle came up to him and asked if he had seen his glasses. The monkey replied that he hadn’t, but he had seen an orange umbrella earlier.
The turtle replied, “That was my umbrella, and my glasses are missing too. Someone must have taken them.”
“I will help you find them,” said the monkey who had nothing else to do being it was Sunday and that was his day to wash clothes but his friend had already washed them for him.”
The monkey and the turtle set off to look for the culprit. The monkey kept tripping over cheese bushes and the turtle was bothered by the purple bananas that kept falling from the trees and hitting him on the head, but they continued to search even though they weren’t having much luck.
They were about to give up when they noticed some odd tracks in the dirt. “I’d know those anywhere,” said the monkey, “Those are the tracks of a miniature giant space hamster.” They followed the tracks until they came to a cave. “That must be the den of the miniature giant space hamster,” said the monkey.
They snuck in as quietly as they could but they kept making noises because they were stepping on oysters and sea urchins. Suddenly, the miniature giant space hamster appeared from the darkness and bared his sharp teeth at them and began to chase them.
The turtle found his umbrella and began to beat the giant miniature space hamster over the head with it. The miniature giant space hamster who had been wearing the turtle’s glasses, relinquished them and the monkey and the turtle left and lived happily ever after.
