Well, I am an obsessive otaku totally infatuated with this particular chara, so yes, I had to put up a page devoted to him. So, here’s another rant from moi ::everyone takes cover::...
Marron Glace is, by far, the COOLEST anime character, I’ve ever seen. He’s got the looks, the personality, and just the aura of what I love in my cartoon guys. Here are the many reasons why I love Marron:
“HE IS A TRUE BISHOUNEN”:
What more could I ask for in a guy when it comes to looks? Pale, long dark hair, expressive/unusually colored eyes, tall, slender, and graceful. All the girls at my school tend to go for just the opposite. They like their guys tanned and muscular with spiky hair (kinda like Gateau, I guess), but THIS guy I love. He he’s not only beautiful, but he wears a really cool kimono (and he wears it WELL, I might add -_^). And, since he already looks somewhat like a girl, and meets all the criteria for a supermodel (tall and rail-thin), I can go batshit coming up with various things for him to wear. Even though he’s hasn’t really been seen in much except his mage garb, I personally think Marron looks good in anything (and nothing at all ^_^)
“HE’S NOT JUST A PRETTY FACE”:
Marron has that quiet, gentle, and enigmatic personality that I love. He’s also a stark contrast to the others because he’s so calm. I don’t care for people who don’t know when to shut up, so I am also fond of his scarceness of speech. But when he does talk...GODS that is a sexy voice!!! Marron is very polite, kind, and generous. He is also devoted to his brother as a way of returning the protection Carrot provided him from bullies when they were but wee little ducklings, and that’s is just so sweet. Even though that bond gets him into the shitpit every once in a while, I’ve noticed. Either way, he seems to be the most compassionate character on the show. Not to mention the only one who acts his age, sheesh.
‘AND I CAN RELATE TO HIM!”
He’s sixteen and one would think he was like twenty! Also, he has a rather painful past, filled with torment that older children so frequently caused him. Because of his quiet nature and fem visage, as a child, he was often abused both physically and verbally by local bullies, and this I can identify with. I too was picked on quite frequently as a child, but I learned to be strong. I’m still a freak, but damn proud of it and I now know how to cope with life and I don’t give HALF a rat’s ass what people think of me. Yay go me. Anyhoo, what I’m saying is, I love people who are brave enough to be different and make a statement. Without freaks, nerds and weirdoes, the world would’nt be nearly as “colorful” as it is!
“JUST LIKE A MUSE TO ME, YOU ARE A MYSTERY...”
Marron’s true character is highly debated between fans, but the most disputed factor of all about this lovely mage is his sexual interest. In the manga and the anime, he never really shows interest for anyone,so it’s up to us fans to get to the bottom of this, and there have been heated arguements on the ‘net, saying he’s gay, he’s not gay, or he’s bi. I personally think he’s bi, but there’s a whole rant about what I think, concerning this issue in the OTHER LITTLE YOINK section. Anyhoo, I like the idea that he’s bi because I truly admire people who are like that and proud of it. I just wish that it was PROVEN (there have been hints, but no real evidence) so that I, along with many other eager peeps out there, could know the truth. But that’s half the reason I like Marron. he’s such a vague character, that a lot is up to the otaku to decide for themselves... Until we get answers, the fanfiction and fanart LIVES!!!
