My Pond With Frogs |
The pairing of the frogs is a certain sign of spring, which however becomes more and more rare. Of the thirteen different kinds of frogs in Sweden, eight are threatened by extermination. From the 1st of January all of them are proclaimed inviolable. In Skäne there are twelve of the thirteen kinds of frogs. This is really the landscape of the frogs! The frogs are often as most active at night. So you will have to sneak around with a flashlight if you want to listen to the differet choirs of the frogs. The sound can be deafening and heard from a long distance of several kilometres - a belching and a purring and a ringing.... |
