The site begins with section putting the novel into Context by discussing Steinbeck's political persuasions and the effect that this would have had on the writing of Of Mice and Men. This is followed by a series of profiles on the central Characters in the novel. An Overall Summary of the then gives a concise account of the plot throughout the novel as a whole. The Analysis section gives a more reflective account of the novel's themes and the writer's intentions. It discusses the loneliness and unhappiness of the characters and the intensity of the feelings that Of Mice And Men manages to communicate.
