Furcadia Con Instructions

The Furcadia Con Dream is laid out like a convention dealer room. There are 10 booths (numbered 0 through 9), with aisles running between them.

BOOTHS

To claim a booth, find a vacant one with an opening in the ring of tables surrounding it. Walk in, and CTRL-G to pick up the "key item" for that booth.

Each booth has a different key item: a candle, necklace, stuffed animal, etc. A duplicate of the key item remains on the ground when you pick it up. This allows your assistants, if any, to carry keys too.

BOOTH ACCESS CONTROL

CTRL-U to use the key item, once you've picked it up. The gap in the ring of tables around your booth will close, filled by a lighter colored table. Now nobody can walk in and mess with your booth.

Walk over and bump into the light-colored table. It opens for you
automatically so you can get in and out. CTRL-U to use your key to
close it again.

Every half an hour, all the booth "doors" that are closed will become
slightly ajar. A soft alarm will sound to notify you when this occurs.
Use your key within 30 seconds to keep your booth door from opening
completely. This mechanism prevents abandoned booths from becoming
permanently inaccessible.

LOSING YOUR KEYS

WARNING: If you CTRL-G while holding a key, your key will disappear.
You can accidentally lock yourself out of your booth this way! You can
only get back in if you have an assistant with a key. In general, you
should only drop your key if you're finished with your booth and want
to make it available to somebody else. And in that case, please leave
the door open!

 PILLOWS

Each booth has a pillow dispenser that looks like a big crate. Bump
into the crate, and a pillow appears at your feet. CTRL-G to pick it
up and move to where you want it (you'll lose your key for the moment,
but that's okay because you're still in your booth where you can get
another key). CTRL-G again to drop the pillow where you're standing
(only in a booth: if you drop it in the aisle, it will disappear). Then
CTRL-U to use your empty paws while standing over the pillow
it magically changes style and color! Keep using CTRL-U until
you're satisfied with the pillow's style and color. Repeat this process
until your booth has all the seating you need.

DREAM PORTAL

Each booth has a spot where you can link in a personal dream. These
spaces are clearly marked. To link in a dream, stand next to that spot, facing it, and type CTRL-T.

WALL HANGINGS

You can also decorate the walls of your booth. Stand right next to
one of the pre-placed wall hangings, with nothing in your hands,
and type CTRL-U. The wall hanging toggles through a variety of
colors and styles each time you hit CTRL-U. Repeat this process
until you're satisfied with your booth's wall decorations.

NOTE ON DROPPING OBJECTS

Some spaces are occupied by immovable objects. You won't be
able to drop anything there.

At this writing, this map can be accessed on the server by placing the enclosed files in your main Furcadia folder and then typing `gomap 1.
