"The Urge" 1/1
Oz let the phone ring three times before he picked it up. He did that all
the time. It made it seem like he was always busy. He picked it up and said
"Hello." It was Willow. She was crying so hard that he couldn't really make
out what she was saying. Something happened. Something bad. Oz was getting
that big time. After five minutes of straight sobbing, he understood one
word. "Xander." He did something to her. Oz hung up the phone. He had
work to do.
Oz's dad tried to teach him how to fight when he was little. Oz balled up
his hands into fists. He at least remembered that he was supposed to keep
his thumbs on the outside so he wouldn't break them. Thankfully, his dad had
left the Everlast boxing bag hanging on it's chain when he left some years
ago. Oz punched the bag lightly. "Okay," thought Oz, "I can do this." He
took a few steps back then took a running swing at the bag. He missed it
completely and fell flat on his butt. "Maybe this should be something that's
done and not practiced," he said aloud. Yes, that sounded like a plan.
Oz walked into the library. He saw Xander crouched behind a bookcase. "I
wonder what this'll feel like," he thought. Xander looked up. Oz punched
him square in the jaw.
"...That kinda hurt."
"KINDA?!?"

I was thinking that Oz probably never hit someone before this. That's why he
was kinda like, "Huh. That hurt. Interesting." I dunno. Just my POV.
