This is an attempt to gather all Daharkians (ex and current) at one spot on the internet. One thing that connects all of us even now is the friendship that we developed at our first professional Alma mater, Engro Chemical Pakistan Ltd, located in Daharki.. and that's why the name of the site :Daharki Alumni.
By the way a Daharkian is a species (some say, homosapien) that has roughed it out in the blazing heat of the Sindh desert, maintained pumps, recorded plant operating parameters, implemented de-bottlenecks and attended night shifts & call-outs... Hahahaaha.
The graduates of Daharki have spread out in all four corners of the world.. The only part not having been attacked by them is probably Antarctica. And knowing what they are capable of, I guess the day is not far when we'll have a daharkian sitting in an igloo, maintaining a centrifugal pump for the Eskimos.
Well, I plan to display information here about all the friends and ex-colleagues, what they're up to nowadays, where they are living, their photographs etc. etc.. in the hope that this web page will keep us connected throughout our lives.. Sounds like a tall order doesn't it? Well. I hope to make it happen with everyone's help and cooperation.
