Chapter 4
“Coming!” Janet yelled. She quickly walked out of the kitchen, and she opened the door. “What in the heck are you all doing here so early?!”
“You told us eight o’clock,” a man said.
“I meant at night,” Janet said.
“Well, too bad we’re here.”
“Violet!” Janet yelled.
“Yes?” Violet said running into the room.
“Meet my brothers and the boys. This is William, and you know Jason.” William was the man who has taken Jason. “This is Peter and the boy he’s training Cory.” Peter looked much like Janet, but William’s hair color. Cory was a blond and had blue eyes. “This is my brother, Jack, and the boy, Matt.” Jack was tallest of the brothers, and Matt had brown eyes and hair. “That person over there is my brother Richard and Mark.” Rich was the youngest. He wore chains around his neck, and even had an ear pierced. Mark had golden hair and brown eyes. “Violet, talk to the boys. I’m going to show my brothers around.”
“Okay,” Violet said.
Janet and her brothers walked away. Violet walked over to the boys.
“What are you training for?” Cory asked.
“Me?” asked Mark.
“All of you,” Cory said.
“I’m training for the war,” Matt said proudly.
“We’re all training for the war,” Violet responded.
“Really?” Cory asked.
“Duh!” Violet mumbled.
“You kids better be in good shape to fight,” William said as he walked into the room.
“Well, we’re not fighting yet,” Jason said.
“No, but you will, so stay in shape.”
“Fighting isn’t right!” Matt protested.
“No, but we have no choice, but to fight.”
“Well, you can count me in. The moon soldiers killed my parents, so I’m going to defeat them!” Violet cheered.
The boys went into a huddle. “You can count us all in,” Mark said.
“Good,” William smiled. “Now, we’re going out. Let’s go!”
“Ok.”
Chapter 5
The next day Janet woke Violet up, nice and early. It was a clear day, and the sun was raising. The smell of dew filled the air as everyone boarded the cars.
“Where are we going?” Matt asked.
“We’re going to see what…oh, you’ll see,” Janet said quickly.
They arrived at an old brick building with long uncut grass on one side and dead trees and leaves on the other side.
“Here we are!” Peter announced as everyone was getting out of their cars. “This is where Cory will learn to work with computers, and electronic stuff.”
“Do you take care of this land? Look at it!” William said in a disgusted manner.
“That’s not why we’re here, William!” Peter said annoyed.
“Right, but you really should take care of the land. Oh my god, is that a dead chipmunk?”
“Will, do us all a favor, try not to always be a neat freak. Anyways, let’s go in.”
Finally Violet spoke, “What happeneds when the power goes out?”
“Well…um..we would..um,” Peter struggled to say.
“What do you know? Peter is not all perfect after all,” Richard laughed. “Try a back up system, bro.”
Peter faked a laugh. “Maybe we should go…” Peter urged.
After another drive, they all arrived at a small, old building that looked as if it could fall apart any minute.
“Ta da! Bang! Boom! Matt will learn about explosives here,” Jack shouted happily.
“Is that why it looks like it’s going to burn down?” Janet laughed.
“Funny,” Jack said in a dull voice. “Let’s go inside.”
The next place they went to was where Mark was going to learn sword fighting.
“I’ll give people a free lesson,” Richard offered. “Anyone interested?”
No one said anything except, “No.”
Richard sighed, “Oh, well. I try to do something nice, and no one cares.”
William took everyone to, what looked like, an old temple.
“Jason will learn martial arts,” William said.

“Thank you for visiting, you guys. Please stay for dinner, then go,” Janet said.
“Dinner is fine with me!” Peter said.
While Janet and Peter cooked dinner, the children were watching TV. William, Richard, and Jack entered the room.
“Hey, kids! Come here!” Jack shouted.
“What is it?” Cory asked.
“See these stones? You wear these as pendants. It’s a sign of friendship,” Peter said.
“Yeah, but they’re…” Violet started to say but decided not to. They’re not my friends. They’re just rivals to me.
“Dinner is ready!” Peter shouted.
“Let’s go and eat,” William said.

Years went by and Cory, Jason, Matt, Violet, and Mark trained for the war. They never saw each other in those years. Not ever.
Chapter 6
A/N: I will be writing in first person for the next couple of chapters.
“Cory, I’m assigning you your first mission,” I heard Peter, my godfather and trainer, say. “I think you’re ready.”
Peter has been like a real father to me. My mother died giving birth to me, and my father got so upset he left. I was alone in this world, until Peter said he would take me in. Even though I was only five at the time, I understood. Understanding is something I do well. Memory is also something I do well. Much like a computer.
I’m learning about computers, and at the minute Peter wants me to go on a mission. My very first mission. I’ve been afraid of this day, but at the same time I’ve been excited. I was in a bit of shock, since I am only twelve, actually, to be thirteen in 56 days. I was unable to say a thing, except, “what?!”
“You’re mission is to go to the moon. When you reach the moon, head for the military base. Hack in to the main computer, and take whatever seems important. Save all the information on this disk. Bring it back, but before you do put a virus into the computer.”
“That seems-“ I didn’t get to finish my sentence, because Peter cut me off.
“Good luck, soldier! You’re leaving tomorrow.”
He completely ignored me. “Okay.”
~~~~~*****~~~~~
“Welcome to the moon! Enjoy your stay!” The intercom on the space shuttle sounded.
“The earth looks so beautiful up here!” I said.
“I’m guessing it you’re first time in space,” a voice behind me said.
“Yeah, it is…who the heck are you?”
“Sorry, don’t mind me. Have a nice visit,” the girl, in a M.M. uniform, said.
~~~~~*****~~~~~
All I had to do was sneak into that base. It wasn’t that hard. At least there were not that many guards outside. All I had to do is get passed that one guard, and I’m in. Easier said than done.
What is wrong with me today? I’m too nervous to knock a stupid guy out. Well, I’m not going to fail this mission. I’m gonna make Peter proud of me. I didn’t know I was running up to the guard at the door, until I was 3/4s of the way there. By then, the guard spotted me, and I had to think fast. I ran head first into him and he fell to the ground. I picked him up by the shirt collar, and gave him a punch in the stomach, a weak spot in every human, unless they were on the heavy side, or worked out A LOT. This guy clutched his stomach, and cried on pain. He really cried. The tears came. I found myself laughing. I took his jacket and hat, and put them on. I was now in. There were no searchlights, nor tons of soldiers coming with machine guns after me. It was too easy.
I quickly went down a hallway, and I found a door labeled: CONTROL ROOM. I was about to open the door when a guard caught me.
“Hey, kid!”
I just punched him the stomach, grabbed his gun, and busted open the door to the control room. There were people there. Three people. I took the gun and shot them all. It took three shots. One bullet into neck of every soldier. I didn’t feel sorry for them.
“I am the god of your death,” I whispered in a ruthless voice.
I went to the main computer. I shut off all the alarm systems, and quickly went to work. Hacking into the computer was not hard at all. This mission was too easy. I was almost finished, but then I heard a famiar voice.
“What are you doing here?” it was the girl I had met earier.
“I am here on a mission!”
“For Earth?”
“For Earth.”
“Are you finished?”
I was about to answer, when it hit me. “Why?”
“’Cause I want to know!”
“Why don’t you just kill me? I’m from the earth not the moon! I came to destroy the moon! Why don’t you just kill me??”
“I, too, am here for the earth. Finish what you need and I’ll take you out of here unseen.”
“Yeah…”
I quickly finished, and left. I had completed my mission, and I was proud.
