Background: Born dead to a dying mother,  Alairic spirited him away from the scene and placed him in the womb of another female. For months, he was carried by another woman, while his sister grew. At the hour of his birth, a dirge was sung by those in the underworld, and like his first mother, his second mother perished birthing the reborn child.  Being Alairic's first born, he was sent away at an early age to learn the fine art of combat and spell crafting, but while at it, Synn read and learned about scholars and philosophy.
