The CD we made titled Leap of Faith was exactly that... A LEAP OF FAITH. It was my first venture into a recording studio. I did not know what to expect. I led with my heart; my head had nothing to reference the experience to so it was truly a Leap of Faith. So many wonderful people assisted along the way. Jeff Carpenter was a joy to work with. The man has a great ear. More than that, I am proud to call him my friend. The musicians that added to this journey were and are first rate. They shared a wealth of experience with a total novice. I learned so much about the process of recording. It is amazing how many things I remember from our work together. I hope we get to work together in this setting again.
It really all comes down to the songs. I think we put together a collection of songs that a great many people can relate to. We touched on several emotions. Love. Loss. Faith. Happiness. Disappointment. The things that dominate every day life.
Thanks be to God for giving me the ability to put words and music together. And for those of you have listened to the CD, I hope you have enjoyed it.
