Welcome To My Javert Page

Valjean, at last we see each other plain. Welcome to my shrine of my two favorite Javerts out there: Stephen Bishop and Philip Quast. I had the honors of seeing Stephen perform the role of Javert on Saturday, September 29, 2001. He was a wonderful beyond wonderful actor, but this stupid slip of paper in the program said the Stephen would not be playing Javert. I was very very disappointed, as you can imagine, but at the time the performance was to begin, the lady announcing the understudies did not mention Stephen Bishop having an understudy. The whole performance I was totally confused, but after the 1st Act, I was convinced that that was Stephen Bishop. What other performer could act as well in the role of Javert as Stephen did that night? He was amazing. I also had the honors of e-mailing Stephen Bishop and getting a response back too. :-D. P.S. STEPHEN IS TOTALLY HOT AS WELL! Philip Quast is the extraordinary 10th Anniversary Javert, and he has an AMAZING voice, and his facial expressions were awesome. He can really get emotions out without having to act. *His suicide made me cry when I heard him on the Complete Symphonic Recording . . .* He is a totally awesome Javert and a very talented singer. He can really hit those low notes! I LOVE YOU!

This is Philip Quast as Javert, in the TAC (Tenth Anniversary Concert). His face expression is so totally awesome, it really expresses what Javert would be thinking then. It's such an awesome expression. "There, out in the darkness . . ." OOH LA LA!

Stephen's sense of humor. . .:-D

This is Stephen Bishop on stage as Javert saying, "Let the old man keep on running, I will run him off his feet. . .everyone about your business, clear this garbage off the street!" But my friend, Susie, thought it looked like he was saying, "NO YOU STUPID CONVICTS! You're not doing it right! You have to step right, step left, grab left, lift."*shows them how to climb the walls* I was laughing SO HARD. Doesn't it look like that? LOL! Luv ya Stephen. . .

Stephen's sense of humor. . .:-D

This is the most chilling Javert expression I have ever seen. It's of philip Quast in the TAC, and Jean Valjean has let Javert go, and Javert is staring at him, bewildered. It's like this sort of painful look in his eyes, shocked, undescribable emotions, mixed in one glare. But it's not his usual I'm-gonna-hunt-you-down-till-you-die glare. It's totally undescribable look there, people.
