June 26, 2003: We're back! We've been away for a long time, because we were WAY discouraged by the problem with the Cast Bios page...as some of you may or may not have read on the page we put up saying it was under construction. Anyway, we got a new spark of hope today and we, the persevering and determined people that we are, fixed the problem. Yay! Anyway, we also put up the new quote that was supposed to be here last week. Don't forget--the quote will be going monthly come July. Happy surfing!
May 30, 2003: A few orders of business today. First, we added a new quote (last night). On the subject of quotes, partly because we can't remember any more lines and partially because there are only so many funny lines in the show, we're reducing the quote to bi-weekly for the month of June, and if we don't think of about a million more, we're going to make it monthly starting the first Friday in July. We were going to make it monthly right away, but we figure we'll segue into the monthly thing to get everyone used to it. Second, their have been massive cast updates in the show, largely ensemble, as well as a principal (or maybe two...). The point is, we need to update the cast section, and unless we get help (i.e. emailed bios) We can't. Except that we're seeing the show on June 12th so we will definitely update on June 13th. That was a very long update, but it got a lot of business done. Summer is beginning: Happy Summer, Everyone!
May 15, 2003: In the past four days, the site has undergone a massive revampage (is that even a word?). We, having recently mastered the concept of building a site with frames, have converted the entire site into said format. The site now has a navigation bar which is separate, and on the side, and always there, so that instead of just going home by the teeny link at the bottom of the page, you can go to anywhere from anywhere. This should make your lives a lot easer. We also put up a new quote. Although everything was checked, if you find a problem with anything regarding the site, please email us.
May 11, 2003: We added a new quote (a couple of days ago) and uploaded a newly updated Cast Bios page. We'd like to thank Lauren for submitting the new bios. As far as we know, the bio page that we've uploaded is current...we'll just have to hope for the best!
May 3, 2003: We added a new quote yesterday. We're a little behind, we know there have been some cast changes, but we haven't seen the show yet, and don't have playbill bios. But we're seeing the show ASAP and will do a massive cast update. Also, we're going to add a little "about the webmistresses" section sometime in the future.
April 16, 2003: Don't worry, we have been keeping up the quote of the week. Today we updated the Cast Bios section (but there'll still be more updates; not all of the replacements have taken over yet). Also, the Thoroughly Modern Millie Unofficial Fan Website has put up a tour schedule. Take a look here to see if the tour is coming to your town any time soon. We made some changes to the quotes section since we saw the show a couple of days ago and realized some mistakes. This week's quote, which was put up a few days early, is in honor of Gavin Creel, Broadway's current Jimmy, whose birthday is April 18. Happy Birthday, Gavin! Also, Happy Passover and/or Easter to those who celebrate.
April 4, 2003: Added this week's quote (there was one last week, too) which was thought of by us (for the first time in a while). Also, in the past week, we've slightly edited the Cast Bios section to add the bios of two new ensemble members. We'll be making more changes as contracts are up right now and Ken Leung, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Gavin Creel, and Megan McGinnis are leaving. It would be really wonderful if you could type up and email us the bios of the replacements of any or all of these people if you see them in the show before we do. March 21, 2003: Added this week's quote, submitted by Emily (Thanks!). Also, we've made the first in what we hope will be a series of adjustments that make the site a little bit easier to navigate. We re-ordered the "Sections of the Site", fixed the Links page so the links open in new windows, and a couple of other tiny things like that. With contracts up soon for all the principles, we're going to be making all the necessary adjustments to the Cast Bios page as soon as we get enough information. Happy surfing!
March 18, 2003: We added the quizzes section which has one quiz designed by us and two by FreakyMartian. By the way, check out Freaky's site. Also, we'd like to wish a very, very happy birthday to Sutton Foster, who plays Millie in the current Broadway production of the show.
March 16, 2003: Added this week's quote (a bit late) also submitted by Kayla. We were going to make the quote be monthly because we were running out, but now that it's spring break we're seeing the show again, and we'll pick up some more quotes.
March 6, 2003: Though we haven't actually written updates here, we've been faithfully keeping up the quote of the week. We've recieved several helpful suggestions, and we'd like to thank Kayla for submitting this week's quote!
February 20, 2003: Added this weeks quote (one of the last we know, we need help!) and the reference dictionary. Now. The reference dictionary is a very exciting new feature which we don't believe we've seen on a "Millie" site before. It has brief definitions or explanations of references to events or people in literature or history outside of the show. Enjoy! Also, we added the cast page. Soon it'll have links to headshots--we have them ready, we just haven't put the links in yet.
February 14, 2003: Happy Valentine's Day! We added a new quote (touching, of course, for the holiday). We need suggestions badly--our minds are emptying quickly. We can only memorize so much by seeing the show twice.
February 7, 2003: We added a new quote (there was one last week, too) that is extra long and has both something funny and something moving, in honor of Mousey's birthday! Happy birthday, Mousey! Second, we removed the lyrics section because we were informed by Sutton Foster's webmaster that having the lyrics up is illegal. (P.S. Check out Sutton's site, the address is in the Links section.)
January 22, 2003: More updates! We finally got the jump on the synopses page to work (there had been problems...) and, we now have a title! We can now officially say, "Welcome to Isn't it delectable?: Migi and Mousey's Thoroughly Modern Millie Fansite!"
January 20, 2003: Added the lyrics section. Rather unfortunate newsflash--we were going to have a "Who Said That?" quiz, but since we have a quote of the week, we can't. Now here is where you darling visitors come in. We need you to either email us or post in the forum and let us know which one you'd rather have. If you choose quote of the week, we'll create a different kind of quiz. Thanks!
January 17, 2003: Things are coming along very nicely! Today we added the guestbook, and the message board. Also, the site now has its own email address! :)
January 16, 2003: Put up a new quote (as we will every Thursday evening) and added the Synopses section. The lyrics section is coming along very nicely...
January 10, 2003: Added the Links and Quote of the Week section. If you have a suggestion for either one, send us an email via the link above. The site will hopefully soon have its own email address so we don't get site stuff on our personal addresses...Also, a lyrics section is in the works. Get excited!
December 18, 2002: The site is up, but it only has two links. It als needs a title! Help us! More to come ASAP.
