Considered by many to be the perfect musical comedy, Guys and Dolls is the story of what happens when the underworld (in the form of the “highest roller of them all”, Sky Masterson) meets the elite (in the form of Sarah Brown, sergeant of the Save-A-Soul Mission), and when the forces of civilization (in the form of Miss Adelaide, “the well-known fiancée”) meet the forces of, well, guys (in the form of good old reliable Nathan Detroit).
The story revolves around Nathan Detroit, the organizer of "the oldest established permanent floating crap game in New York," who bets fellow gambler Sky Masterson that he can't make the next girl he sees fall in love with him. The next girl Masterson sees just happens to be the pure-at-heart reformer, Miss Sarah Brown, and the stage is set for a hilarious evening of complications.
