Costume (Lab) Fees

All choirs require a lab fee. This amount will vary according to the choir in which the student is enrolled.

            No student will be denied the right to participate in choir due to a lack of ability to pay any required fee. Fundraisers are available to help offset this cost. Both parents and students are expected to participate if payment cannot be made without this participation. If a dire financial need exists, please contact the Vocal Music Director and an application can be made to the Booster Club.

            The balance of all fees will be due towered the beginning of each school year. For auditioned choirs a 50% deposit will be required at the conclusion of the audition process in June of the prior year. Costumes and accessories will not be issues without payment or other financial arrangements being made.

            In addition, students may be asked from time to time to provide their own items for a particular song or songs. These are typically items that can be found at home or at a thrift store of some type for little or no cost.

 

Other Considerations

Ø      The costume fee does not typically include shoes – except specialty shoes for a specific competition costume.

Ø      Lost or damaged items or items that need replacing due to size changes, must be purchased through approved vendors or though the Vocal Music Department. Students will be charged – replacement items are not included in the costume fee.

Ø      If a student returns to a group and needs to purchase replacement items, he/she will be charged for those on a per item basis in addition to the regular costume fee.

Ø      Students who are enrolled in more than one choir must pay the appropriate costume fee for each group

 

Costs

Chamber Choir and Advanced Women’s Choir…………………………... $500.00/year

This lab fee includes:

            Women: Formal Dress for classical performances, Pop Dress, all other competition costume pieces, monogrammed warm-ups, monogrammed garment bag, briefs, tights, and jewelry

            Men: All required pants, shirts, jackets, monogrammed warm-ups, monogrammed garment bag, and black socks.

 

Concert Choir, Men’s Choir, and Beginning Women’s Choir…………… $200.00/year

This lab fee includes:

            Women: Formal Dress for classical performances, Pop Dress, all other competition costume pieces, garment bag, briefs, and tights

            Men: All required pants, shirts, jackets, garment bag, and black socks

 

All women will purchase tan character shoes with 1 ½ “ heels on their own.
