Society

Hello and welcome to the Silhouettes web site. The Silhouettes are an amateur operatic society in Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire. Every May they perform a spectacular musical production at the Grimsby Auditorium. They start rehearsing for the show in January and produce a weeks performance during the first week of May.

The society also performs a singing concert at the Central Hall, Duncombe Street, Grimsby during the Christmas period. Past concerts have included songs from The Sound of Music, The King and I, Les Miserables, Miss Saigon and other popular musical numbers The Silhouettes have also sung songs by the Beatles, the Carpenters and Christmas Carols, so there is a mixture of song for all ages.

Our society range from 14 to 70+ years of age. We encourage new members to join our society as much as possible and we are particularly looking for male members of all ages. We hope that you will enjoy looking through our web site and hope that you will either visit us at one of our performances or join us as a member of the society.
