She likes to lay in a special box that she found when she was about a month old. It's deep blue, with embroidered gold
stars. Most of the time, thought, Yavimaya lives in a small grove of trees next to an unnamed city. |

Most of the time, she catches mice to eat, but her favorite thing to snack on is a pastry from the bakers'. Even for the
promise of such a tasty thing, it's a long, hard walk from her home. |

Yavimaya was born to a father she didn't know and a mother who died when she was very young. She was forced to
stick it out on her own, and has survived for a year and a half. She's only heard of the Jellicles, and never actually met
