I have a healthy respect for Belle because she was written out of the story with me. That's the only way I like her.
Belle is a sleeping car, old and run down. She used to be really good and nice, but now she's just a wreck.
She and Poppa race together, which might suggest they may have had a thing together before I got to the trainyard. Perhaps Rusty's mother, but I doubt it. She encourages Rusty to keep racing and tells him about the Starlight Express.
