I'd been listening to a lot of "old-style" country when I wrote
this. Jim Reeves, Faron Young .... but I can also hear some other artists
too ..... Ricky Van Shelton, Blake Shelton, Trace Adkins ..... maybe Joe
Nichols ...... heck, even the Oak Ridge boys.
Anyway ...... let me know what you think. You can email me at:

TIL SHE DIDN'T
V1
Clean socks in my dresser, shirts hanging neatly pressed,
She would bring my morning coffee, while I was rushing to get dressed.
Too busy for a hug or kiss, I'd back the car out of the drive,
If I'd just looked in the mirror, I might have seen her wave goodbye.
Chorus:
I never knew how much she loved me, til she didnt any more.
I never even saw her leaving, never heard her close the door
I never knew how good I had it
I just took her love for granted
I never knew how much she loved me…….. til she didnt any more.
V2
I came home last evening, to a house so dark and quiet
I walked into the kitchen, and when I turned on the light
Dinner waited for me, on a table set for one
And much too late I realized just how long she'd been gone.
Chorus:
I never knew how much she loved me, til she didnt any more.
I never even saw her leaving, never heard her close the door
I never knew how good I had it
I just took her love for granted
I never knew how much she loved me…….. til she didnt any more.
