"Jack's Song" is a working title because a guy named Jack threw me the first two lines and said write him a good ol' honkytonkin' rockin' kinda song. So I tried.

Jack's Song (working title)

(V1)
I saw her down at Charlie's
She was dancin' on the bar
They said that she'd been sippin
From an old mason jar

I never seen anyone lookin' so fine
Just one look
Was all it took
I had to make her mine.

(Lift)
She climbed down from the bar and she walked across the floor

(Chorus)
She had the grooves
She had the moves
She had the twists and turns.
That girl knew
Just what to do
To make this body burn.

(V2)
I asked her if she wanted
To go with me for a ride
We climbed up in my truck
She snuggled by my side

We found a little spot
Down on Lover's Lane
Just one touch
Was all it took
That girl drove me insane.

(Lift)
We fogged up all the windows in that big ol' four by four

(Chorus)
She had the grooves
She had the moves
She had the twists and turns.
That girl knew
Just what to do
To make this body burn.

(V3)
We ran off to Vegas
That next afternoon
We've spent ev'ry day since then
On our honeymoon.

That was 20 years ago
We've raised a family
Kids are grown
And on their own
Now it's just her and me.

(Lift)
And ev'ry day that passes by, I still love her more

(Chorus)
She's got the grooves
She's got the moves
She's got the twists and turns.
She still knows
Just what to do
To make this body burn.
