Rick`s Bio

Rick Houston was born in East Tennessee on August 3 , 1973.Growing up , Rick developed a love for music at a young age. He began playing the guitar at the age of 17. Rick has never had any formal lessons and has taught himself to play the guitar as well as the mandolin , banjo and fiddle.

At the age of 25 , Rick began writing his own songs. He moved from East Tennessee to Nashville to pursue his dream of being a Country music singer and song writer. He has played numerous clubs around downtown Nashville , including Layla`s , Cowboys and Songwriter`s night at Hotel Preston. He also has two demo`s cd`s circulating Nashville.

Rick just recently moved back home to East Tennessee but he continues to write and play every day. He has a love for all types of music but his true inspiration comes from Country`s legends such as George Jones , David Allan Coe and Willie Nelson.
