Requirements of Membership

MEMBERSHIP in our Congregation is open to all, and is celebrated by signing our Membership Book and being offered "The Right Hand of Fellowship." If you are considering membership, please speak with our minister or a member of the Membership Committee.

The simple act of signing the Membership Book signifies the intention to become part of the communitry, to share responsibilities and benefits. We are a fellowship of free minds dedicated to the search for truth and a quest for religious and ethical values. We strive to live our lives according to the 7 Principles of the Unitarian Universalist Association:

1. The inherent worth and dignity of every person

2. Justice, equity, and compassion in human relations

3. Acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregations

4. A free and responsible search for truth and meaning

5. The right of conscience and the use of the democratic process within our congregations and society at large

6. The goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all

7. Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part
