The Greek Theater October 15,2004

The Greek theater is a small outdoor theater nestled in the Hills of Hollywood, California. It has the most amazing crystal clear sound I have ever heard. The line up for the night was Vince Gill, Patty Loveless, Rebecca Lynn Howard and the Del McCury Band.
It was a cool October night and Vince Gill took center stage. He did about five songs with one of them standing out in my memory and it really got the audience going. It?s hard to kiss the lips that chew your ass out every night.
Next up was Rebecca Lynn ?.. And although I didn?t know much about her she was awesome. Rebecca did about five songs and the audience really seemed to like her.
The Del McCury Band was next up. They took stage and did about five of their blue grass songs.
They saved the best for last. Patty was the last act to take stage that night. She walked out stunningly dress in a gold ankle length skirt, a red sweater and high heel boots. She kind of had a Christmas look to her. The audience seemed to be going crazy and the noise that was made for Patty was louder than for the acts proceeding her. She didn?t open the show with her usual Tear Stained Letter it was a different song line up then in the past. She only did about five songs but the audience really loved the five she did.
After Patty?s act Vince came out and introduced Patty as his musical sister and they did several songs together. Rebecca Lynn and The Del McCury Band then joined and they all did several songs . When they all sing together Vince, Patty and Rebecca Lynn just sound awesome.
All in all is was an awesome show although I prefer a show that Patty doesn?t have to share her stage time with other acts. I have some pictures of this show posted on this site.
