Welcome to The Music Room! The Music Room is a brand new facility within Danforth Baptist Church, at 60 Bowden Street just off of the Danforth right in Downtown Toronto. In addition to his work as a coach and pianist, Dr. Christopher Burton is the Director of Music at Forest Grove United Church in Toronto, and the founder and artistic director of the New Chamber Music Series "A Song through the Grove". Celebrated pianist and Chamber Musician, Christopher Burton (D.M.A.) is currently accepting new students for private piano instruction. Dr. Burton is also available for one- on-one theory, analysis and Music History Instruction. The Music Room is also accepting registration from singers to work with a qualified voice teacher from beginner to advanced. Interested in something other than piano or voice? Let us know! We will make additional disciplines available according to demand. Since graduating from the Chamber Music Program DMA at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, Dr. Burton has accompanied and coached musicians all over Canada and the United States. Some of these credits include coaching for the Michigan Opera Theatre Summer Program, Faculty at Marygrove College in Detroit MI, The National Flute Convention, and the Bowdoin Music Festival in Brunswick Maine. He now makes his home in downtown Toronto and is available to accompany and coach repertoire with instrumentalists and singers.
