

Meshuggah was formed in 1987 in Umeå, Sweden!
They made a band because there was nothing to do out there!
Metallica was an early influence in the first few albums!
First release, "Psykisk Testbild" in 1989. (Translates to "Psychological Test-Picture")!
Tomas Haake began the drummer beforetheir "Contradictions Collapse," which was released in 1991!
The band had signed a recording deal with the German record label Nuclar Blast!
The band recorded "None" in 1994!
"Selfcaged" was recorded in 1994, but the released a year later!
Shortly after returning back home from touring, they recorded the album "Destroy Erase Improve,"!
Then they toured American suppoirting MACHINEHEAD!
During 1996 Fredrik was busy working on his solo album!
A new EP was recorded, "Sane," and three versions of, "Future Breed Machine," from "D.E.I"!
The "The True Human Design" EP was released that autumn!
Around the same time, Fredrik's solo album, "Sol Niger Within," was released!
In February, "Contradictions Collapse" album, with four tracks off of "None" was rereleased
rumours of the next album were comign from the label company!
Immediately after recording the album, the guys went to the USA for a short tour!
After a few delays, "Chaosphere" was finally released in November!
Meshuggah toured of Scandinavia with Entombed right after the album was released!
Messhugah was to tour in USA in 1999, but eventually Meshuggah went overseas with Slayer!
In 2001, Rare trax was released, which had hard to find demo's and oldies!
Gustaf Hielm quit in July 2001!
Meshuggah toured with Tool in the USA in 2001!
In 2002, "Nothing" was released, which is said to be the band's most brutal CD ever!
In 2002, Meshuggah toured in the famous OZZFEST!
Meshuggah were being recognized by the public after 12 long years!
One again in 2002, Tool And Meshuggah did a USA tour!
