Picking up the guitar at age 19, Jason Spencer (now 24) is showing his hometown Houston, TX a B-side to the music scene. With a delicate blend of pop, folk, rock, and jazz, fans are steadily growing on Jason’s wide variety of colors. Sting, The Dave Matthews Band, and Jeff Buckley are a few influences that have propelled Jason to take a more vibrant, laid-back approach on songwriting. The Spencer Project (group name) was founded shortly after collaborating with friend and now band mate Peter Lippincott. The Spencer Project continues to perform in and around the Houston area.
