Regine Reveals Retirement Plan

To retire soon or to keep going?

That was the question answered by Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez at her SRO concert Reigne at the Music Museum very recently.

During the show’s audience participation portion, Regine’s guest Ogie Alcasid picked out some people and gave them the privilege to ask Regine any question they could think of, and somebody asked her if it was true that she would retire soon from her singing and acting career.

Regine candidly answered yes, it was true that she would lie low from her flourishing career — but only if she decides to settle down into marriage. By then, she would concentrate on making a big happy family.

Regine’s settling down with her Mr. Right, however, will not happen in the very near future. All because she is loveless as of the moment. Well, actually, she seems to have been loveless since the time she had a brief romance with Ariel Rivera who has since married Gelli de Belen with whom he now has two kids.

So for the meantime, the Songbird focuses her attention (and affection) on her career, both as an actress and as a singer. Her recent Reigne concert was such a huge hit that she has been asked to do a repeat, again at the Music Museum on June 15, at exactly 9 p.m.

And just like the first one, the repeat will have Regine’s sisters, twins Deca Velasquez and Dianne Velasquez-Roque, as producers, with Disudrin as the major sponsor.

And we can expect Regine to belt out hit after enchanting hit to another SRO crowd, once again proving to all that she is really a box-office queen, be it in the movies or in concerts!
