Montreal, QC (March 30, 2006) – After a successful 2004 debut and the 2005 follow up that are both still on the lips of the international reggae community, The Montreal International Reggae Festival is releasing its first DVD In the Beginning Vol. 1 (Fun House Productions) this April 4th 2006. This is the first of a two-part DVD series that highlights superstar performances from the 2004 and 2005 editions of the increasingly popular festival.

In the Beginning Vol. 1 welcomes you to one of North America’s most festive cities for a reggae experience like no other in Canada! Against the backdrop of Montreal’s historic Old Port, this special DVD relives the festival for those who experienced it firsthand and is a definite treat for those who missed it. Featuring a stellar lineup of artists including Morgan Heritage, Luciano, Culture, Chaka Demus & Pliers, and Gregory Isaacs. In the Beginning Vol. 1 is the story of the beginnings of this landmark event and leaves you no choice but to sway to the sweet rhythms.
