I started in Watonga OK in 1969 at the age of 19. Played in many night clubs stretching across the western part of the country. My first band The Country Spoon 1971, a 3 piece band with me playing rhythum/lead guitar we played country and old rock and roll for many occassions. My second band was The Fire Mountain Band 1985, a 5 piece band playing the most recent country music and rock offered with of course the good ole country music. Then in 1973 I decided to start my own thing , and then "The Lanny Scott Show" was born, testing my skills in a one piece band and also recording my 2nd record "Amanda" and "Green Door".
"The Lanny Scott Show" proved to be a success from doing it till my son Johnny Scott was old enough and skilled enough to join me.
