BIOGRAPHY
IDOL-X has been evolving since 1999, originally a side project of Logan Mader and Mark Hunt. The heart of Idol X lies within Logan and Mark’s passion to create music coupled with their undying work ethic. Using music as their drug of choice, they began writing songs on various tours, still sweating after a night’s performance. This is the same drive that sends them into the studio to record for twelve hours or more at a time.

Idol-X is accessible rock that has a unique style of its own. Logan’s introspective lyrics and marketable vocal style, paired up with Marks uplifting guitar riffs and memorable melodies run parallel to the great song writing style of U2 and The Goo Goo Dolls.

Logan breathed life into the project when he wrote and sang the lyrics to the song “Wounded” bringing his vocal potential into full effect. He recorded all drum tracks as well as engineered and produced all the Idol-X songs up to date. Previously a respected guitarist in the hard rock and nu-metal scene, he played guitar in bands such as Machine Head, SoulFly, and most recent Medication. His music style has evolved to the next level with Idol-X.

Mark sets the foundation for the Idol-X songs using acoustic and light distortion settings as well as a touch of keyboards. Mark’s past endeavors include guitarist for hard rock bands such as A Day In The Life and Medication. Each song is in a different guitar tuning and represents a person or event that has affected his life in some way. Idol-X closely reflects who Mark is today.

Although Idol X began with Logan and Mark, they have created an eclectic line up to provide an intoxicating live show and add to the creative song writing process.

IDOL-X’s musical diversity injects new life into a saturated industry looking for an intriguing new direction.
