I
am currently studying Music, Law, Physics, English Literature and Archaeology
at Blackburn College.
Previous
to that I was a pupil at St. Michaels’ C of E High School and Arts College. I
studied a wide range of subjects but the ones I enjoyed most were Music,
Science and Technology. At St. Michaels’ I sang in the Lower School Choir,
Training Choir and Senior Choir. I also played in the Brass Ensemble, Training
Band and Senior Band. In Before I went to St. Michaels I attended St. Peters
C.E. Primary School were I sang in the choir for four years.
Out
of college I am a member of S. Peter’s church choir, in Chorley, and have been
since 1997. I have been playing the trumpet for eleven years and cornet for
seven years and had music lessons at Heylings School of music where I achieved
the Associated Boards of the Royal Schools of Music Grade 4, however, I am studying
for my Grade 5 with a new music teacher. I am a member of the Church Lads’ and
Church Girls’ Brigade at St. Peter’s, Chorley, where I am Principle Trumpet in
the band. I also play in the National Band of the CL&CGB, where I received
an award for being the most improved brass player in 2002. I have been a member
of the CL&CGB for eleven years and a member of the National Band for seven
years. I also played with Chorley Silver Band, for six years, and with
Lancashire Youth Brass Band for four years.
